My "WHY"

In April our little family took a much needed family vacation to the Oregon Coast. We took nearly a week to spend as just the four of us. My husband and I work full time, opposite schedules, so it is a bit challenging to feel connected as a family.

I scoured the internet looking for a perfect beach house to rent, I finally found one that was right on the sand! We spend the week walking miles and miles of beach. We found some tide pools that we were able to walk to and visit at least once a day.

Being on the beach and having lots of down time together as a family allowed me to reflect on where we are as a family and where we want to be. We had multiple discussions on what the future might look like for us and our kids. I often feel rushed and "busy" and overwhelmed. Somehow we need to figure out how to slow down and enjoy each day, not rush on to the next. Our vacation gave us a chance to reset and refocus. I came home with a new set of goals and a bazillion ideas on how to accomplish them.

One thing I want to be better at is "documenting" our family. I don't have time, or the energy to scrapbook, I struggle to keep up a journal so hopefully I can keep a few things on this fancy blog. Welcome to our crazy life! We aren't experts on anything more than our little family, and we are always up for an adventure!
