Waterproofing, structure repair, and a swimming pool

Another fun day at our house of trailer work. It was pretty warm and sunny today so we pulled out the wading pool and the kids loved swimming and running in the sprinkler while we worked. We set up the shade tent and loaded up some snacks and they were happy campers for a while.

I read about this fancy new RV repair tape in a few forums online and it sounds like it will be a good helper for us until we decide if we want to get all new siding. There are many places that the corner seams were not matching up well despite my best efforts at repairs and I was worried about water getting in on the corners. I ordered this sealant tape and used it on all the corner seams. It will help to hold the corners together and seal them. Hopefully I don't regret this idea later, the tape is sticky sticky sticky! I don't know if I can get it off without making a huge mess.

My wonderful husband snapped this series of pictures. After installing the new roof vents we had to seal around them to prevent leaks. It wasn't terribly difficult but it was super hot up there. I used a scrap of plywood to kneel on so I didn't burn my legs on the metal roof also to help with weight distribution so I didn't fall through.

Just some pictures of the repairs that were done. Hopefully I don't have to see this much of the inside walls ever again.
